Redemption And The Law

Two questions from today's Bible Study:
First, from the book of Genesis, how can we better understand who God is, when God said to Moses in Exodus 3:14 “I AM, Who I AM.”?

Second, according to Leviticus 19:1-37; does redemption means that we are free to live as we please giving little thought to God’s commands?
